About Jenn Baron, MC

Registered Psychologist

I am a Registered Psychologist who works with older teens and adults who are coping with the impacts of addiction and trauma (including childhood trauma).

I have specialized training working with addiction (alcohol and drugs), sexual assault, domestic violence, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Addiction and trauma can impact us in a variety of ways and can have long-lasting impacts if not addressed, including depression, anxiety, guilt, shame, sleep issues, relationship stress, sexual issues, and chronic pain.
I’m here as a listener and guide, to spark coping, healing, and movement through whatever challenges are in the way of you being the authentic person you want to be.

Therapy doesn’t always have to be doom and gloom; therapy is a chance to explore the difficult and celebrate the growth!

I have been in the helping profession for over eighteen years and have provided services in both community settings and private settings.

I practice through a “Rogerian lens” which emphasizes empathy, respect, non-judgment, and unconditional positive regard. I also have training in EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I offer an authentic and genuine counselling experience, providing a safe space for you to be yourself.

You are important, you have value, and what you say matters!

It’s an honour to walk in the sacred spaces of your life and I look forward to working with you on your journey!
