About Jasdeep Grewal

Registered Provisional Psychologist

I am deeply passionate about building secure and meaningful therapeutic relationships with my clients.

I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist who works primarily with individual adults (18+) and youth (13+) clients.

I have worked in private practice and not-for-profit settings and have experience with working with a diverse clientele and mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, trauma, abuse, self-harm, suicidal ideation, behavioural issues, emotional regulation, grief, and loss, and more.

I aim to foster a safe and inviting atmosphere for my clients by actively practicing empathy and understanding. As a therapist, I prioritize encouraging open communication and invite clients to share their feedback on the therapy process and my approach. I am committed to making any necessary adjustments to ensure that clients feel fully involved in their own therapeutic journey.

Drawing from my experience with diverse populations, I respect and honour each client’s unique background, values, and perspectives. My goal is to empower clients to explore their own solutions while supporting their personal growth and development.

I have substantial experience working with youth.

My experience working with CASA and CASA House have allowed me to gain competent and valuable experience including developing and implementing specialized treatment plans for children with learning disabilities, developmental delay or executive functioning.

I understand the challenges and struggles that youth clients might face such as: navigating relationship struggles with parents, peers and intimate partners; anxiety and stress related to school or personal situations; depression; thoughts of self-harm or suicide; coping with parental separation or divorce; self-esteem or self-worth issues; unregulated emotions and behaviours; etc.

I work with youth clients to help them understand themselves better, develop healthy coping skills; manage their behaviours and emotions; embracing their neurodiversity; collaborate with parents or caregivers to address behavioral issues and support consistent strategies at home. It is essential to work with youth towards achievable goals that align with their values and aspirations.

I employ an integrative and holistic approach in my therapy sessions.

I believe in an integrative approach to therapy based on the client’s needs, and I utilize different modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Person-Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Attachment Focused and Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and other approaches to fit the unique needs of each client.

It is important to evaluate all aspects of the client’s life in understanding their issues and goals by focusing on the whole person – mind, body, and spirit.

I support a collaborative therapeutic process with my clients.

It is incredibly rewarding to witness the growth, resilience, and transformation that can occur through the therapeutic process. I am here to support you on your mental health and wellness journey. I work in collaboration with my clients to determine the best treatment plan for them and their needs.

It is an honour and privilege to walk alongside my clients and to witness their vulnerability and healing. This career has given me the opportunity to make a positive impact one someone’s life and enables me to help others.
